ABOUT OUR PRESENTOR: 

Dr. Tomika Ferguson is a nationally recognized scholar and leader in equity, leadership, and student success. She serves as the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs and Inclusive Excellence and an Assistant Professor at Virginia Commonwealth University’s School of Education. Her research focuses on the experiences of minoritized students and college athletes, examining how identity and institutional structures shape their academic and professional trajectories. Dr. Ferguson has spoken and consulted with organizations such as

Cardinal Group Companies, Donate Life Virginia, the National Basketball Association, the Congressional Collegiate Sports Caucus, and the Virginia High School League. A first-generation college graduate and former Division I track and field athlete, Dr. Ferguson holds degrees from the University of Virginia and Indiana University – Bloomington. She is a sought-after speaker and consultant on inclusive leadership and organizational culture, equity in education, and student-athlete development.
