In August 2023, the Middle Tennessee Chapter of the Association of Legal Administrators lost a dear member to suicide.  As a result, the Chapter developed a Mental Health Task Force which has been focused on raising awareness of the mental health issues within law firms, particularly in Tennessee, as well as those within the ALA membership nationally.  Our speaker, Teresa J. Walker, CLM, will discuss actions they have taken, surprises they have encountered and results they have achieved to date with #LovedJennie.

About our Speaker:

Teresa J. Walker, CLM

Since the March, 2023, combination of Holland & Knight and Waller Lansden Dortch & Davis, Walker has served as Director, Tennessee Private Trust Services (a wholly-owned subsidiary of Holland & Knight) in the Nashville office.  Walker joined Nashville-based Waller Lansden Dortch & Davis, LLP, in 1977 and served as Chief Operating Officer and other related roles for over forty years.    

Walker is a Past President of the Association of Legal Administrators, served on the Executive Committee of its Board of Directors, on the Professional Development Advisory Committee, was a member of the Large Firm Administrators Caucus, was a Trustee of The Foundation of the Association of Legal Administrators, and was a member of the International Relations Committee of ALA.  She is a Founding Member of the Middle Tennessee Association of Legal Administrators, which was chartered in 1980.

 Inducted in 2014, she is a Fellow of the College of Law Practice Management  and has served on its Board of Trustees and its Executive Committee.
